HR practitioner appointments

Archroma appoints new global head of HRArchroma appointed Ravi Bhogaraju as their new global head of human resources, talent and organisation development in July this year. In his new role, Bhogaraju will work with the group executive team and business leaders across Asia, Europe and LATAM to actively shape the people agenda. He has been with the company since 2014, when he was brought on board as global human resources integration lead. Bhogaraju has 18 years of HR experience. He is based in Singapore.

Hoffman Agency strengthens HR teamKathy Kwok was appointed senior human resources manager, APAC in June.  In her new role, she will oversees all HR functions for the company's 5 markets across Asia Pacific.

She has over 8 years of experience in the human resources professional, her last appointment was regional HR manager, Asia Pacific at Burson-Marsteller.  She is based in Hong Kong.

OCBC Bank welcomes new HR analytics Daniel Kusmanto was appointed the role in June.  He was previously with Micron Technology for more than 10 years seving for thier HR data analytics and project management office.  Kusmanto is based in Singapore.

simpleshow asia welcomes new key account managerDebby Caroline was hired for the role in June.  She has more than seven years of experience in human resources, having partnered with multi-nationals organizations, across all industries, on the full spectrum of HR solutions including  talent development, leadership development, and compensation and benefits.

Her previous apppointment was client relationship manager at future leaders international.  She is based in Singapore.

Hong Leong Bank Berhad strengthens recruitment team 

Nisha Ranne Sharma was appointed manager talent acquisition at the bank with effect in August.  She brings with her more than 10 years of experience intalent acquisition.

Her previous appointment was  sr. talent acquisition, lead & subject matter expert at Convergys.  Sharma is based in Malaysia.

MIDF Berhad welcomes new industrial relations head

Khairil Azhar Md Ali was hired the role in August.  He brings with him more than 12 years of experience in banking.  He moved over from Affin Bank Berhad where he served as assistant vice president - industrial relations.  He is based in Malaysia.

HSBC strengthens hiring teamThe bank hired Shibin Sukumar as assistant manager talent acquisition for its global banking and markets, with effect starting in August.   He came over from EY where he was the senior talent acquisition specialist.

Sukumar  brings with him over 6 years of experience in talent acquisition, he is based in India.

Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC) welcomes new program managerThe appointment of Azreena Azizan came into effect in April.  In  her new role, she will be responsible for coordinating people for change programme and maintaining strong programme links from community to national and South East Asian regions.

She is based in Malaysia.

Thermo Fisher Scientific welcomes new HR supervisor Audrey Yap took on the role in June.  She brings with her more than 10 years of experience in HR, her last appointment was HR at LexisNexis Malaysia.   She is based in Malaysia.

Estee Lauder Companies strengthens talent acquisition team Damien Yau joined the company as a talent acquisition in August.  He began his career in HR in 2013, his previous job was HR business partner at helloPay under Lazada Group.  He is based in Singapore.

Mondelēz International welcomes new HR business partnerWee Kiat Lau was appointed the role in August.  He will overlook the full spectrum of HR function of the company including organization development, talent development & succession planning, training & development, performance management, organisation changes and employee relations and engagement.

Before joining Mondelēz, he was a senior analyst, global campus & early talent, talent strategy & engagement at Accenture.  He is based in Malaysia.

L'Oreal strengthens organizational development teamSharifah Atikah Syed Hussein was appointed as assistant manager organizational development at L'Oreal in July this year. He has been with the company for just over five years, starting as a recruitment executive and working his way up. He takes on his new role on top of his existing position as senior learning for development executive and is based in Malaysia.

China Overseas Property Services reinforced HR teamJason Lai has taken the position of assistant human resources manager at China Overseas Property Services, a subsidiary of China State Construction Engineering Corporation. Lai joined the company in Hong Kong in July 2016 and brings over 14 years over human resources experience with him.

Cargo Services Far East appoints senior managerJune Liu joined Cargo Services Far East in July this year as a senior manager for their Center of Excellence. Among other things, Liu specialises in C&B analysis, rewards management, talent management, and manpower planning strategy. She is based in Hong Kong, where she has almost 15 years of experience in the human resources industry.

HR Solutions Provider Appointments

Mercer appoints Kulshaan Singh as Singapore country leader Kulshaan Singh has taken the helm at Mercer as country leader for Singapore, responsible for driving growth across local operations, in areas including clients, innovation and employee engagement. Having been with the global consulting leader since March 2014, Singh was leading client growth and go-to-market efforts across growth markets immediately prior to this. He joined Mercer coming over from Aon Hewitt, possessing seventeen years of experience in consulting and P&L management across Asia.

He commented on the appointment: “We have a strong team across our businesses with a rich multitude of experience in working with clients across a diverse set of industries, both regionally and globally. I am truly excited to be leading such a team and bringing our most innovative solutions to enable our clients’ success in Singapore!”.

Lisa Sun, Mercer's Asia market leader added:  “At Mercer, we continue to optimise our leadership teams across this important region. We welcome Kulshaan in this new role, and are excited about having his rich experience in client growth come to bear in Singapore, an important strategic regional hub for Mercer. ”

Manulife promotes Luzia Hung to SVP, head of employee benefitsHung's promotion came into effect in August.  She joined Manulife in 2010 as vice president of employee benefits in Hong Kong, overseeing the company’s pension and group life and health insurance businesses in Hong Kong. She has has extensive experience on employee benefits, having worked with international insurance and pensions companies.

Hung will continue to be based in Hong Kong.

Matthew Collier to head HR consulting services Gemini Personnel The appointment of Collier as group head of HR consulting services came into effect in June.  He had been with Gemini since 2013, servings as managing director.  He will continue to be based in Hong Kong.

Gemini Personnel welcomes new MD for Hong KongPhilip Leong took over as the managing director position with effect in June.  He came over from Manpower Staffing Services Singapore  where was the business manager.  He had a history with Gemini Personnel, serving as a senior consultant for its Singapore office from 2010 to 2011.

For his new role, Leong moved from Singapore to Hong Kong.

Talent Tree has new directorPaul Watson was brought on-broad for the role in August.  He was previously the associate director human resources at Michael Page.  He brings with him more than twelve years international experience of placing executives and professionals across all industries, geographies and functional areas of expertise within the human resources profession.  He is based on Hong Kong.

Russell Reynolds Associates welcomes new managing directorMina Ames accepted the role in August.  She has more than 18 years of experience in finance, and has served in the UK, Singapore and Australia.  Her last position was consultant at Egon Zehnder International. She is based in Australia.

New general manager at Charterhouse MedicalGlenn Young took on the role of general manager at Charterhouse Medical in August. He has been with Charterhouse since 2009, when he joined as a general manager of the resources division. Young has over 12 years of experience in the human resources industry. For his new role, he will relocate from Hong Kong to Sydney.

FARO has new HR business partnerLarry Tan was appointed HR business partner, talent acquisition (Asia Pacific) with effect from August.  His previous position was regional talent acquisition lead, APACJ Intralinks Asia Pacific Pte Ltd.  He is based in Singapore.

Drake international appoints new branch managerKaren Dancel was appointed as the new branch manager of Drake International Hong Kong in July. Dancel has been with the company for over five years and has worked her way up from her first position as recruitment consultant. She takes on her new position on top of her role as head of temporary recruitment & payroll services.Accenture promotes ASEAN HR Business PartnerEileen Goh moved up to the role in July.  She has been with the company since 2011.  She was promoted from the role of talent acquisition director.  She is based in Singapore.

Robert Walters appoints marketing content executive After more than three years as a senior journalist with Human Resources Magazine, Akankasha Dewan has moved on to a new role in public relations with effect starting August.   She is based in Singapore.

AIA Bhd beefs up L & D teamThe company appointed Andy Chan KC as senior manager, learning & development, HR with effect starting in June.  His previous job was manager, learning & development, group HR at CIMB.  He has over 14 years experience with HR consulting and training.Chan is based in Malaysia.

Adecco Vietnam welcomes new general directorAndree Mangels took up the role June.  He will oversee the operations of the Adecco Group in Vietnam, including general staffing, permanent placement, outsourcing, managed business services and other human capital solutions.

He started his career in the recruitment industry in 2006 and his previous appointment was director at Talent2 (Allegis Group APAC).  He is based in Vietnam.

Adecco Malaysia promotes consulting managerSerene See was promoted to the role in June.  In her new role, she will focus on providing professional recruitment services for senior role from managers levels and above.  She joined Adecco in 2014 and was promoted form asst branch manager.  She is based in Malaysia.

PageUp promotes vice president of South East AsiaSarah Forbes moved up to the role in August.  She had been with the company since 2006, starting out as a client delivery coordinator.  She was promoted from Asia alliance manager.  She is based in Singapore.

New sales & marketing consultant at Page PersonnelSebastian Cheung has started in his new role as sales & marketing consultant at Page Personnel Hong Kong in August. He previously spent a year as a human resources recruitment consultant at the company, where he was also one of the pioneer members of the team. With his move to the sales & marketing team, Cheung now specialises in recruiting for entry to mid level sales & marketing roles in the industrial, manufacturing, logistics, pharmaceutical and medical sectors in Hong Kong.

Anirudh Arvind is now an independent consultantAfter serving as consultant for the Human Resource team at Robert Walters, Malaysia, Arvind is now working independently helping business leaders identify game changing people strategies.  He is based in Malaysia.

Symphony HRS promotes payroll operations managerLe Cao Thanh (Alex) moved up to his new role in April.  He had been with the company since 2014 and was promoted from the assistant payroll manager role.  He is based in Malaysia.

QBE Insurance hires regional HR business partnerRob Hendriks was appointed the role in August.  His previous position was human resources business partner at Zurich Insurance Company.  He is based in Singapore.

NES Global Talent strengthens recruitment teamArdian Ismajlaj joined the company in August as recruitment consultant. He specialises in engineering and manufacturing roles in the processes industry from mid- to senior level positions.  He is based in Malaysia.

Manpower Malaysia strengthens team Charlie Macaraig joined the company as a HR help-desk with effect starting April.  He brings with him more than 9 years of experience in HR, his last appointment was support assistant at IBM global business services.  He is based in Malaysia.

CSC appoints client recruitment specialistAhmad Hashir was hired the role in August.  He has more than 10 years of experience in HR, his previous appointment was consultant at Randstad. He is based in Malaysia.

New sales & marketing consultant at Page PersonnelSebastian Cheung started in his new role as sales & marketing consultant at Page Personnel Hong Kong in August. He previously spent a year working as a human resources consultant at the company, and is one of the co-founders of the Page Group | Page Personnel human resources team. Cheung specialises in recruiting for entry to mid level sales & marketing roles across the industrial and medical sector in Hong Kong.

Take5People appoints new sales managerJulia Wong was hired as sales manager at Take5People in July. In her new role, she is in charge of HRM solutions sales for the human resources solutions provider in the Hong Kong & South China region.  Wong has a strong marketing and sales background and has previously worked in China and Hong Kong.

Adam Carabetta co-founds Formative SearchAfter almost nine years of working in recruitment within the energy industry, in August 2016 Adam Carabetta co-founded Formative Search. The Singapore based solution focused recruitment agency aims to help businesses as well as talent get real value in their recruitment challenges. Carabetta takes up the role of director in the new company.
