Yulia Pellegrin joins McCann Worldgroup as Regional Talent, OD and Diversity Director

Yulia Pellegrin is now Regional Talent, OD and Diversity Director at global marketing services company McCann Worldgroup, effective April 2019, based in Singapore.

Pellegrin previously worked in PwC in Moscow, Russia, the United Arab Emirates and Singapore, taking on roles in learning and development. Her most recent role was Senior Manager, Talent and Leadership Development at PwC Singapore.

Speaking to Human Resources, Pellegrin expressed her excitement to drive McCann Worldgroup's talent diversity, and diversity and engagement agenda across Asia Pacific. She shared: "We love our dynamic, creative and diverse teams and we want to promote culture that supports our vision which is to unleash the creative power of everyone at McCann."

She also detailed the immediate priorities set for this year, including the launch of the company's "award-winning digital learning tool", as well as focusing on coaching and talent development. She said: "We are also passionate about our millennials and are piloting a programme that will allow select key talent to travel across the region, work in different offices and learn about different teams and cultures.

"I am also personally interested in developing diverse teams and look forward to supporting our business leaders across the Asia Pacific region to bring out the best of our people."

Citi appoints Aditi Mahadevan as APAC Head of Talent, Learning and Diversity

Financial services company Citi appointed Aditi Mahadevan as APAC Head of Talent, Learning and Diversity effective May 2019. Prior to this, she served as the company's APAC HR Head - Markets and Securities Services.

Mahadevan's HR career with Citi spans over 10 years, having joined the company in 2005 as a HR Manager based in Mumbai, India. She joined Singapore office in 2012 in the role of Senior Human Resource Generalist , Citibank Singapore. Other portfolios she has held with Citi include Assistant Vice President of HR and Vice President of Rewards & Benefits.

Before joining Citi, Aditi worked with Bharti Airtel in India, serving as the telco's HR Manager.

Leigh van Minnen takes on talent acquisition portfolio at Vestas

Having held several recruitment consultant roles across HR over the years, Leigh van Minnen has moved in-house. She joined Vestas, a wind power solutions provide, as Head of Talent Acquisition (APAC) in May 2019, moving from her role as Program Director (APAC) for Vestas, under ManpowerGroup Solutions.

In this new role, van Minnen's responsibilities include collaborating with the global talent acquisition team to ensure global processes and strategies are effectively implemented within the APAC region.

She is also involved in engaging the line of business regarding workforce planning and talent requirements, driving change management, translating global requirements into local ones, and ensuring the region's talent acquisition employer branding, among others.

PT Mitra Adiperkasa Tbk welcomes Mariawaty Santoso as HR head

Starting May 2019, Mariawaty Santoso has taken on the role of Corporate Head of Human Resources at lifestyle retailer PT Mitra Adiperkasa.

Based in Indonesia, Santoso was most recently Group Human Resources Director at Mayapada Healthcare. Prior to that, she held the role of Chief Human Resources in AIA for close to seven years, between 2010 and 2017. She has also previously held various roles at Prudential Indonesia, Willis Towers Watson, and Korn Ferry Hay Group.

Santoso is known by her peers as a hard worker and a very effective leader with great management and communication skills. The passionate HR leader is also collaborative colleague and tremendous brand ambassador with a great deal of experience in life insurance industry.

Andre Baumgartner is now the talent acquisition and administration VP at Pomelo Fashion

Effective May 2019, the Thai arm of modern fashion brand Pomelo Fashion has welcomed Andre Baumgartner as the new VP, Talent Acquisition & Administration.

His career spans years in both the consulting and HR lines, with his most recent role being Principal at Eric Salmon & Partners. As a recruitment consultant, he is known for his ability to understand client’s desired candidate and is gifted in quickly finding and convincing the right individual.

Baumgartner has also held various portfolios with nbi Human Capital, CTPartners, Imprint, Avanade, and Antal International.

Baumgartner is based in Bangkok, Thailand, and was educated in Bond University.
