Here are the major promotions and job moves in the world of HR for this week from Hong Kong.

HR Practitioner Appointments

New hire at MultiBank Exchange Group Franco Lui was appointed human resources manager at MultiBank Exchange Group in February.  His previous appointment was senior consultant at Recolo Consulting.  Lui started his career in HR in 2005.

Connie Cheung relocates to the United States Cheung talent acquisition at adidas has assigned to a short term assignment and to lead the recruitment on the design and creative functions for both Reebok's performance and classics business units, with effect in March. She will relocate to Boston for her new role

The Children's Place enhances hiring team After more than a decade serving at Cathay Pacific Airways, Tony Ng had made the move to The Children's Place talent acquisition manager with effect in February.  His last position at Cathay Pacific was assistant manager employee relations and bases.  He started his career with the airline in 2007 as a flight purser.

Marriott International welcomes human resources manager Peggy Lee joined Marriott International as human resources manager, BMSC in February.  Previously, she was a human resources manager at The Kerry Hotels.  Lee brings with her 10 years of experience in human resources in the hotel sector.

Promotion at Sanofi Kennis Fung was promoted to sourcing specialist in February.  She joined Sanofi in 2016 as recruitment co-coordinator.  Prior to Sanofi, she was a recruitment co-coordinator at Standard Chartered Bank.  She has been serving in the HR sector since 2014.

Jarrett Lee Anderson accepts promotion with Coty, relocates to China Having been with cosmetics company, Coty, since April 2017 as talent acquisition manager for SEA, HK, Taiwan and Export Asia, Jarrett Lee Anderson has been promoted to talent acquisition manager, Greater China. In the new role that sees him relocating from Singapore to Shanghai, he supports cross-divisional talent acquisition and employer branding in China, Hong Kong, and Taiwan. He is no stranger to the region, as prior to his Singapore stint, he was with Robert Walters as senior consultant – marketing, based in Beijing.

 


HR Solutions Provider Appointments

Maggie Zhang promoted to CHRO at AIG Maggie Zhang was promoted to chief human resources officer, International at AIG with effect in February.  She joined AIG in 2014 and was promoted from regional head of HR, North Asia, MENA and Africa.  Prior to AIG, she was head of HR, corporate and institutional and commercial client at Standard Chartered Bank.

Willis Towers Watson appoints new managing director Roger Steel has been appointed managing director for Hong Kong and Macau.  His appointment took effect on 12 February 2018.  Before joining Willis Towers Watson, Roger held various key leadership positions, including CEO for Sun Life Hong Kong. He has more than 35 years of experience across insurance and consulting, and having worked in Hong Kong for 19 years.

The company also announced the appointment of Ted Hodgkinson as head of corporate risk & broking for Hong Kong and Macau and the hiring of Noel Goh as head of talent & rewards for Hong Kong.

Recruitz brings Miranda Choi on board as head of recruitment Miranda Choi has been secured as head of recruitment with Hong Kong-based Recruitz. She has been with the firm since May 2015, when she joined as recruitment manager, and was most recently assistant vice president before being promoted to her new role.

Iris Yan rejoins SAP Yan was hired as senior recruitment consultant by SAP in February.  She brings with her more than 15 years of experience working in human resources.  She had held top HR positions including HR & Adm GM at Baoku Online and HR director at Leiping.com.

This is her second stint with SAP, previously she was a senior HR business partner with SAP China in Beijing.

New hire at Morgan McKinley June Choi was appointed senior consultant - banking & financial services at Morgan McKinley in March.  Previously she was a senior consultant at Robert Walters, a position she had held for more than three years.  Choi started her career in recruitment consulting in 2013.
