Mr. Ng Kok Eng is Director of the Human Resources Department, Office of Corporate Services, Duke-NUS Graduate Medical School Singapore (Duke-NUS), Singapore’s first US-style graduate-entry medical school.
He joined Duke-NUS in 2008 and has been with the School for about 7 years, covering staffing & business partnering, employee relations, learning & development, performance management, compensation & benefits, information and systems, shared services, manpower resource planning & budgeting.
Prior to joining Duke-NUS, Kok Eng spent around 5 years in the public sector with the Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF) as a Recruitment Officer, heading the Technical Recruitment Section and Officer Commanding of the Manpower and Administrative Flight with one of the aircraft logistic squadrons.
Upon completion his service with the RSAF, he spent another 10 years in the private sector (hard disk and semiconductor industry) mainly in recruitment, employee relations, business partnering, HR functional black belt and Shared Services.
Kok Eng graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce (Major in Management & Marketing) and Master in Human Resource Management from Curtin University of Technology. He also obtained a Graduate Diploma in Personnel Management from Singapore Institute of Management.

Ban Ping currently leads the HR department for both the Research & Development and Sales entities in Singapore. She sets the framework for HR policies and strategic business partnership with the Senior Management in both entities. It is an extremely fulfilling challenge for her as she needs to continue to build the “bridge” of understanding and co-operation between the Asian and German cultures in this international organization and to build the Employer Branding over time.
Prior to joining Sennheiser, she was the HR Leader in charge of Asia Pacific for Credence (now known as LTX-Credence). LTX-Credence is an ATE (Automated Testing Equipment) company providing focused, cost-optimised solutions, enabling customers to implement best in class test strategies to maximize their profitability. She was hired to start-up the HR division for APAC in Singapore and was actively engaged in massive recruitment to support business growth in Asia.
In total, she has over 15 years of regional HR management experience. This includes vast experience in handling mergers and acquisitions in the region for the purpose of organizational development. Gey Wee is currently the Head of HR for ECCO’s Global Shoe Production & Sourcing division, headquartered in Singapore, with a 15,000-strong workforce in six countries. He started his career as an entrepreneur before taking on a role as the Senior Consultant (cum Head of Content Development) in an eLearning consultancy film. During this period, Gey Wee was very much involved in eLearning content development, training, and project management. After which, Gey Wee took on a Training Manager role in a niche training centre under ST Kinetics with close to 200 instructors. Subsequently, Gey Wee took on new challenges as a HR professional in three other large corporations (namely ST Kinetics, Maersk Singapore, and Bumi Armada Berhad) before his current role in ECCO as the business unit’s HR function leader. During his tenure in Maersk Singapore, Gey Wee was part of the global HRIS implementation project as the regional project leader for seven countries.
Gey Wee comes with diverse experience in managing/dealing with major accounts, contractors, suppliers, and people management, in both his past and current professions.
Swati Chawla as the Head of People & OD for Australasia, ASEAN and North East Asia at Syngenta, is responsible for integrated talent management in the territory, based out of Singapore. With over 2000 employees in the territory she is responsible for building and implementing integrated strategy, programs and policies across areas of talent management ranging from strategic workforce planning, talent acquisition to career and succession management, to aid business success through a high performing employee base.

Jesper Petersen joined the LEGO Group in 2009 and is currently the Head of HR for Asia Pacific based in Singapore. Jesper has more than 20 years of leadership experience – most of which comes from the field of HR. He started out as an Officer in the Danish Army and moved into a corporate career with MNCs in Denmark before joining the LEGO Group. He’s originally from Denmark where he acquired his MBA in Strategic Management and he holds solid experience from multiple leadership roles within HR. He has led Global Shared Services teams, headed up a Global Center of Expertise (Global Rewards) and been a Strategic HR Business Partner for Senior Executives. Jesper has spent most of his HR career within disciplines such as Talent Acquisition, Performance Management, Compensation & Benefits, Strategic Workforce Planning and Talent & Leadership Development. Manish Verma is the HR lead for AP for Cargill. He is responsible for leading the group of country HR Directors, functions leads that serves BUs and functions in the areas of HR strategy and service delivery in recruitment, compensation, benefits, data management, IR, employee relations and other areas of HR. Prior to this position, Manish was the Sub Regional HR Lead for South East Asia and AP Regional Talent Recruitment Lead.
Previously to Cargill, Manish worked as Global Talent lead for Nokia, Asia Regional HR lead for Accenture Consulting and European Region HR lead for BT JV based in London. He has worked in HR strategy, talent management, regional HR and shared services strategy consulting. Before Accenture he worked with British telecom in UK & Europe.
Manish holds an MBA from India and Masters in Organizational Psychology from University of London.
Mr Frederick Goh (Singapore) is the General Manager of the Human Resource and Administration Department in Mitsubishi Electric Asia Pte Ltd. He is responsible for the full spectrum of Human Resource functions, strategic HR development and operations in the Singapore office and provides Human Resource functional advisory to ASEAN sales offices. He has extensive experience in the setting up and establishment of new regional sales offices in ASEAN. As a strategic partner to business units, he not only handles Human Resource issues but is also constantly engaged in providing timely support to business operations and expansion in the region.
Vishal is currently Vice President, Human Resources for Emerio Globesoft Pte Ltd, an NTT Communications Company and is based in Singapore.
Earlier, Vishal was the Regional HR Head, heading HR operations for Kelly Services Asia Pacific across 12 countries. He has over 18 years of experience as an HR professional having worked in the APAC region in various roles at Discovery Networks, Monsanto India Ltd., Maruti Suzuki Ltd. and SHCIL. He has worked in country HR leadership positions for the last 13 years as an HR generalist and also as a functional head of industrial and employee relations, talent acquisition and organizational development functions. He has experience of having worked in diverse industries including IT, staffing, media, FMCG, automobile and financial services. He has been exposed to working in the HR domain in Merger and Acquisition scenarios, launch of new business verticals and also in setting up a JV.
Vishal holds an MBA in HR from XLRI Institute of Management & Research, Jamshedpur, India.
Aveenash leads the Compensation and Benefits function at PayPal for the Asia Pacific Region. His primary focus is in enabling business outcomes through holistic compensation and benefits program design, sales incentive programs as well as total rewards communication and rewards analytics.
Prior to PayPal, Aveenash was leading the Rewards team at American Express in India and South East Asia. Before that, he was part of the Rewards consulting practice at Hewitt Associates (now Aon Hewitt).
Aveenash holds a Masters in Economics from the Delhi School of Economics and an MBA from Management Development Institute, India.
Eddy joined Ingersoll Rand in 2012 and is currently the Asia Pacific HR Director for its Club Car business, as well as the South Asia HR Director for the Industrial SBUs. He takes on the role of HR business partner to the commercial leadership teams. He provides HR advice on all HR matters including workforce planning, talent review, C&B strategy, performance management, facilitating culture and organizational changes etc. He is also responsible for the delivery and implementation of all global HR initiatives and programs in his region.

An established HR Business Partner, Aparna Kumar, has significant years of focused experience in strategic human capital management across diverse industries and geographies. Early 2000, she successfully set up the first European wide Shared Service Center for HR in recruitment in Philips.
