Ninja Van to double the size of tech team

Ninja Van, a pan Southeast Asia technology-enabled logistics platform, announced Tuesday (23 Jan) that it has successfully concluded the Series C funding round in 2017.

According to a press statement, the company intends to use the capital raised to further consolidate its presence across its operating markets in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam and the Philippines.

In response to a query by Human ResourcesCheehan Tee, VP of engineering at Ninja Van, revealed that in line with the conclusion of the Series C funding, the company is planning to expand its workforce in the coming year.

Tee said: "As Ninja Van enters the next phase of growth, we will be investing heavily in our technology capabilities to extend our lead over the competition.

"We plan to double the size of our tech team to about 100 in the next 12-18 months - we're hiring for all positions, including software engineers, data scientists, product managers and UX designers. We are extremely selective and look for smart, dedicated people who thrive in the frenetic pace of a startup."
