What are your areas of coaching and why did you choose this specialty?

I coach people in developing great workplace attitude for workplace harmony, essential influencing skills and communication in the workplace. It is basically about how to achieve success in the most pleasant and gracious way. The crux of my message is “Success is just an attitude away”. Simple attitude changes lead to great rewards so people should not only focus on their ability but should focus on their likeability. As a speaker, we have the gift to influence others to change and it gives me great satisfaction to see so many of my participants benefit from my programmes at home and at their workplace.

What makes your training unique?

I have a unique sense of humour. I have a unique way of inspiring my participants in wanting to change. I have my own signature stories that are very relatable at all levels. I am also able to sense the progress of the workshop and change the approach accordingly when necessary to make it more effective. When I sense people getting restless and bored, I use elements such as motivation, adventure, creativity, competency or humour in the form of storytelling or creative presentation.

One signature story I use in my workshop was from my army days. My sergeant had asked me to grab a bucket of granite stones to pave part of a muddy track. Instead of saying, “get a bucket of granite”, he said, “get a bucket of grenades and pave the floor”. When I clarified with him the mistake, he was cross at being corrected. This is a case of a bad attitude.

How much does a session cost?

My trainer’s fees range from S$4,000 to S$8,000 per day and S$2,500 to S$5,000 for half a day.

How will your training benefit your participants?

It has a lot to do with changing mindsets. Participants are inspired to “want to make the changes”. There are many learning points that participants can apply immediately in their workplace and also in their home. I show them the easier way to personal success by applying simple techniques and simple changes in attitude. The result in terms of the quality of work is also quite obvious.

What companies have you worked with?

I’ve worked with Financial Services Managers Association, ManuLife and Oracle Singapore.

How long have you been a trainer for?

I have been training professionally for about seven years.

What was your profession before you started as a trainer?

I am a successful entrepreneur. I set up my own printing company at the age of 24 and I still own it.

What made you decide to be a trainer?

At some point in your life, you would like to make a difference in the lives of others. Life becomes more meaningful when you can impact others and in turn, impact society. I like the challenge and training keeps me on my toes and my mind sharp.

Life is about choices and we need to choose how we live ours. Right now, I would like to spend some parts of my life making the world a more gracious place to live in. I wanted to spread a message and I am passionate about it. What is better than to do what you like and get paid well for it? That is why I am a professional speaker.

What school did you graduate from? What did you major in?

I graduated from Singapore Institute of Management with a BSC Economics - 2nd Class Honours.
