UK - A mysterious Chinese factory iPhone worker recently became a minor internet sensation after a photo of her smiling and posing for a colleague at the iPhone assembly factory was later sold to a man in Britain.
In a report by Reuters, a customer who bought a new iPhone wrote on a Mac forum that his new iPhone had a photo of a worker as its wallpaper. "It would appear that someone on the production line was having a bit of fun - has anyone else found this?" he wrote.
While other forum users have speculated that the worker may lose her job, Foxconn, which is the company that assembles iPhones for Apple in China told
South China Morning Post that the worker's job was safe.
The company also added that the photos are taken as part of normal testing procedure.
