Global - KPMG has gone beyond physical job fairs by launching a virtual online recruitment fair, as the organisation hopes expand its operations significantly over the next few years.

The professional services firm will launch its virtual 48-hour recruiting fair online from the 24 to 26 September. A total of 45 member firms will participate in the online fair which features virtual "booths". Potential candidates can watch company videos, participate in a live Q&A session with real people and ask current KPMG employees on what their work is like. They would also be able to apply for the positions online.

The recruitment fair comes as KPMG looks to expand in emerging markets such as Brazil, Russia and China. Some of the positions available in the Singapore office include audit, internal audit, risks and compliance services and enterprise risk management.

According to Philip Lee, head of people, performance and culture at KPMG Singapore, working on a global platform means being able to tap into a job market that spans beyond local shores. “This contributes to their ability to respond consistently in every part of the world to the needs of an increasingly global client base. We hire people who fit the profile of our globally accepted core values. This can be in their home country, or around the world; wherever their interests lie.”

So far, approximately 100,000 interested candidates have registered to participate in the online event.
