Singapore - With more than 70% of employment passes submitted online, HR practitioners can now expect speedier service when they apply for employment passes for foreign workers.

In the newly revamped Employment Pass Online (EPOL) site, companies can now apply and renew various employment passes without having to queue. The website also has an online self-assessment tool which offers companies a preliminary indication of whether a candidate is likely to obtain an EP or S pass.

These changes are aimed at speeding up the work pass application process, as results of EPOL applications can be known within seven working days, as opposed to four to five weeks for a hard copy application. Furthermore, with EPOL, companies can minimize the risk of making mistakes on their application forms. "
By using EPOL, our customers do away with mundane tasks like filling out applications by going online," says a Ministry of Manpower spokesperson.

The website can be accessed through the Ministry of Manpower's website at www.mom.gov.sg.
