US – Women professionals in the US have spoken and have named FedEx Services as one of the best employers once again.
For the second year running, FedEx Services has been nominated as one of the best companies for women to grow and develop their potential in, according to PINK magazine, a publication for senior female executives. The company is among the 13 companies honoured on its annual list of Top Companies for Women.
Cynthia Good, PINK’s founding editor, believes the companies recognised on the list are “true leaders in the advancement of women”. While there is still room for improvement, Good says each of the companies has realised that moving women to the top goes beyond issues like maternity leave and flextime.
“It’s also about giving women real authority to change the corporation and achieve their career dreams,” adds Good.
The list was based on responses to nearly 100 questions and data points related to women’s advancement. The survey measures several factors such as the number of women in board seats and C-suites with P&L responsibility, the amount of leadership training, mentoring and coaching programmes designed to retain and advance talented women and pay equity.
Other companies honoured include Manpower, UPS and American Express.
