Role Description:
You will assist in driving a pay for performance culture through formulating and implementing policies and guidelines that link reward and performance, ensuring external competitiveness and internal equity, to help position the bank as a preferred employer. This includes the review and design of incentive schemes, job evaluation, salary benchmarking surveys and driving the pay review exercise etc. You are also responsible for reviewing, and implementing competitive compensation and benefits policies and practices to attract, retain and motivate talent. You will also act as an advisor to the HR Relationship Managers and line managers on all matters relating to compensation & benefits.

In addition, your role will include maintaining and cultivating good and effective relations with the unions and providing guidance and advice on employee issues where union representation is sought. You will also assist in the preparation for Collective Agreement negotiations with the unions and also be expected to review and introduce progressive practices in resourcing, career development, performance management, rewards and recognition in support of strategic plans.

Requirements:
Degree-qualified, you should possess 8-10 years of experience in a HR environment with at least 5 years in Compensation and Benefits including job evaluation and union relations. Familiarity with local employment and IR legislations is a must. Effective interpersonal and communication skills will be essential, as is the ability to be hands-on and see projects through from end to end.
