30%
Planning and overseeing the HR team daily activities
A portion of my time is spent on providing guidance and reviewing my team on their respective assignments, as I believe it is important that they are provided with the necessary support while ensuring that their assignments are completed on time.

40%    Relationship and building rapport
This time is spent with club managers and other head of departments to understand their individual staffing requirements, co-ordinating recruitment plans and managing conflict resolution. I also liaise and discuss with training managers on staff development.

It is also very important for me to constantly reinforce to my colleagues to know, practice and uphold the California Fitness vision and mission statement. As California Fitness is the original fitness company in Asia, we will accept nothing less than to be number one in every market in which we operate. Being the dominant player in Asia, we want to remain the industry leader through innovation, which will be focused on the member experience. By combining our passion and energy, we try to forge a path for everyone to live better through fitness.

This time is spent with the hope that employees understand that California Fitness is the employer of choice in the fitness industry.

20%    Getting feedback from staff
This monthly session is to gather feedback from new hire after one month upon joining our organisation.  The objective is to hear from them any improvement they would like to suggest and how management can continue to value-add and make improvements so as to provide them with a more conducive and happy work environment to work in.

10%    Teleconferencing with the regional HR managers
This weekly conference is held to share and understand HR policy changes handed down from the regional HR director and overall discussion on our individual country issues, suggestions, staffing advancement and requirements.
