What is it?

This is where business mashups comes in. You can use these mashup products to coordinate activities and automate ad-hoc processes to solve business problems such as employee on-boarding and time-off approvals. 

Instead of logging into multiple systems and carry information from one place to another, you can use such mashups to ensure that consistency and logistics are in place.

How to use it?
The mashups are as easy to use as PowerPoint. It is all point, click and go with a user-friendly interface. You can either run the mashup within your firewall or you can deploy it on the internet through Serena.

If you have a new employee coming in, you can use the on-boarding mashup to orchestrate the activities of bringing the new hire on board such as procuring a computer, updating HR systems, readying office space with a few simple clicks.

Drawbacks?
The existing mashups may not meet everyone’s specific needs so you may have to download Serena’s mashup composer and customise the application from scratch.

Where to get it?
The packaged business mashups are currently free for download. However if you choose to deploy them on the internet, there will be a small fee charged per user per month as long as you are using it.
