What is it?

Creative's Zen Vision is an MP3 player, photo viewer and music video player all rolled into one. Measuring 13 by 8 by 2cm and weighing 240g, the media player has a sizeable transflective screen which provides for a sharp image and wide viewing angle even in direct sunlight.

Zen Vision also comes with a built-in FM radio with 32 preset options, voice recording, an organiser that syncs with Outlook and a CompactFlash Type I and Type II card slot for direct photo transfer. Capacity wise, the 30GB gadget can store up to 15,000 songs, 120 hours of video or tens of thousands of images so you can start a digital archive for all your stills, which may be displayed in thumbnail, full-screen and slide-show modes - all while listening to music. The player also allows you to allocate removable disk space.

How does it work?

On the whole, the player is relatively easy to navigate and use, and the device's video player function supports a variety of formats including WMV, AVI, MPEG-1, MPEG-2, MPEG-4-SP and MJPEG.

The audio quality doesn't disappoint either - a trademark of Creative audio products.

Drawbacks

The player doesn't support line-in recording and the guys at Creative reckon they are still working at incorporating games.
