In a nutshell:

Rachel Ong joined OTi Consulting more than a decade ago and has since helped the human resources and corporate consultancy oversee 11 regional partnerships with companies and consortiums in Asia, Europe and the United States. Her list of clients includes the Prime Minister's Office, Singapore Press Holdings, Singapore Airlines and Merrill Lynch. Ong's perspectives on national and youth development have lead to invitations for her to sit on the panel of advisors for several local initiatives with the Ministry of Community Development and Sports as well as the National Health Promotion Board. She was also recognised as one of the nation's key contributors to community development in 2003 and was awarded the Leader Mentor Award by the Global Leadership & Mentorship Congress in 2004. Ong is an alumnus of the Harvard Business School and was recognised by her alma mater for her leadership ability in addition to scholastic excellence.

Ong has addressed government leaders and key corporate executives of many nations in transition management, in addition, she was the first woman ever to address the traditionally male-dominated Afghanistan audience - In 2003 she was invited as a keynote speaker for the Rebuilding Afghanistan 2003 conference and subsequently ran a strategic planning session for the Afghanistan Interim Government.

Rehashed or New?

Ong, together with Inscape Publishing, developed the DiSC Personal Development Profile (PDP), a psychometric tool, that proved to be the most validated DiSC instrument for Asian population profiling. Since then, she has led OTi Consulting to develop DiSC PDPs in simplified Chinese versions for the China and Taiwan markets. Originally developed by researchers at the University of Michigan, DiSC was based on a 1920 theory of a four-dimensional behavioural model created by Dr. William Moulton Marston.
