BIZARRE HR
US - Global package delivery company, UPS, is suing a former employee who refuses to remain fired.
Former employee, Wesley Anderson, is being sued by UPS in an attempt to permanently bar him from its premises at 43rd Street in Manhattan. UPS is also seeking unspecified monetary damages.
Anderson was fired earlier in 2008 for alleged workplace rage, and was given a second chance after his union promised he would take anger management classes. But after hurling packages at another employee, Anderson was fired again in September 2008.
Anderson, however, repeatedly turned up for work insisting he was still employed. On his fifth such visit to the UPS facility this year, he was arrested and charged with criminal trespassing.
UPS spokeswoman Susan Rosenberg said, "We're taking this very seriously, because it involves the safety of our employees. He has a complete disregard for the rules."
Anderson could not be reached for comment.
