India – A large number of fresh graduates are taking advantage of BPO industry’s employee-friendly policies by working for two BPO companies at the same time.
According to BPO industry estimates, two out of 10 employees indulge in dual employment. Such practices pose major threats to BPO organisations. ABC Consultant CEO Shiv Aggarwal was quoted in The Economic Times as saying, “The employees who resort to such practices also play one company against the other.” Apart from that, such a practice also raises concern about IP theft.
To overcome this problem, BPO companies have enrolled themselves with Nasscom’s national skills registry (NSR) where the registry has created a universal employee database for the industry. The registry has 125,000 members to date.
According to NSR, the registry would not only streamline the recruitment process, but also deal with problems such as fake CVs and fudged employment details.
