Singapore - In an online survey, 75% of survey respondents said that they would be fine with assuming temporary or contract work while they looked for a full time job.

Of the 833 online survey respondents, only 13% also stated that they would not consider flexible work while 12% were unsure of it.

Lynne Ng, regional director for Adecco South East Asia, said that the survey results reflect a trend where companies and job seekers are starting to see the benefits of flexible staffing practices.

As workforces become more fluid and highly mobile, Ng says: "Companies are looking at doing things quicker, cheaper and more effectively, while at the same time workers are beginning to take more control of their own careers – realising that they are likely going to work with many organisations in many different sectors during their working lives."
