Taiwan – What was your dream occupation when you were young? For Taiwanese, becoming a teacher was the number one dream job (29%) when they were growing up while being an entrepreneur (17%) came in second. Entertainment stars (16%) took third place, found a survey by 1111 Job Bank.
76% of 1,137 respondents said they were unable to realise their childhood aspirations and diverted from their dreams at the age of 21.
11% said they are living the dream, working in a profession closely related to their childhood dream jobs.
57% said that if they could go back in time, they would change their childhood ambitions to jobs in the IT industry.
15% said they wanted to become a doctor or nurse, while 10% dreamed of becoming a flight attendant.
