What are your areas of training and why did you choose this specialty?

Our institute has launched a series of intensive  and interactive seminars, designed to help participants effectively lead commercial,  financial, human resources, and even political negotiations in China and ASEAN. We were brought in by the Economic Development Board
as part of its efforts to establish Singapore as a global executive education powerhouse. It was found that negotiation skills would be particularly helpful to local institutions and corporations. Despite the fact that negotiating is a vital skill  to any business or institution in turbulent  economic times such as now, there seemed  to be a dearth of negotiation programmes  in Asia.

What makes your training unique?

Our ability to fine-tune seminars according to the precise needs of our clients has resulted in us designing negotiation seminars for specific sectors, in specific countries. We have trained state entities, executives, lawyers, salespeople, buyers, engineers, insurance agents, venture capital investors and even international institutions such as the European Union. Coaching sessions include how to negotiate and mediate in a way that is responsible, solves conflicts and maximises stakeholders’ returns.

How much does a session cost?

It costs S$1,800 a day, per participant. For large groups, we offer a flat fee, depending on size.

How will your training benefit your participants?

We have a client from a private equity firm who saved over S$5 million when purchasing a company. He learned how to break down the negotiation into several items, discussing, point by point, each item – thereby saving millions on the whole deal. He was such a shy person initially, but turned out to be a ruthless negotiator when properly coached. Our seminars directly impact the bottom line and they work with all kinds of people, from the shiest to the most charismatic.

What companies have you worked with?

We have worked with Accenture, Alcatel-Lucent, and Axa.

How long have you been a trainer for?

All our trainers have corporate experiences ranging between 10 to 25 years, backed by extensive academic research and publishing. As for myself, I have been teaching for 10 years.

What made you decide to be a trainer?

Our trainers all share a deep commitment to helping their clients by sharing their expertise. Giving and sharing is what truly motivates us. The feedback from our audiences, particularly long-term feedback, months after a negotiation has been successfully completed, is especially gratifying. It shows that our methods work, and help our clients save millions of dollars in the long run.
