Tuan Cheng Ch’ng joined Visa Worldwide as a business leader responsible for talent management in Asia Pacific. In her role, Ch’ng will work closely with Visa’s leadership team in the design, development and implementation of talent management programs in Asia Pacific. In addition, Ch’ng will also lead talent assessment, employee engagement, performance management and other talent management initiatives for Asia Pacific. Prior to joining Visa, she was a talent and organisation performance consultant at Accenture and an organisation leadership consultant at IBM headquarters in New York.

Who: Jaslyn Koh

From: Johnson Controls

To: Thomson Reuters

Thomson Reuters’ newly appointed compensation and benefits (C&B) manager Jaslyn Koh will be in charge of covering the reward management structure for the Asia Pacific region. Her new challenges would be successfully managing the information company’s C&B structure post-merger and acquisition, as well as, aligning the differences brought on by new stakeholders. While she admits the new role is in a “totally new industry” from the engineered systems sector she had came from, Koh believes this will help her gain invaluable HR experience for her career. “As C&B is a transferable skill set, it’s understanding the business, learning the way the organisation works, and establishing new relationships in the company.”

Who: A.V.K Mohan

From: Spice Group

To: Spice Group

Spice Group’s group president for global HR, A.V.K Mohan, will be relocating to Singapore and will be permanently based here from April later this year. Mohan’s move to Singapore is part of the company’s plans to relocate its leadership team from India to Singapore. Having worked in companies such as Motorola and Bharti Airtel before, Mohan oversees a workforce of approximately 10,300 people spread across four business verticals. These verticals include televentures, media & entertainment, investments & finance advisors and innovative technologies. Mohan says he is excited to relocate to Singapore as he sees the country as a knowledge and leadership hub. “I want to play the role of taking this [knowledge] into the organisation, so that we can develop and grow [our employees].”

Who: Adele Png

From: Credit Suisse

To: Visa Worldwide

Adele Png joined Visa Worldwide as a talent acquisition manager, heading up the talent acquisition function in Asia Pacific. Working together with Visa’s HR and leadership teams, she will help drive Visa’s internal and external efforts to attract key talent to Visa. Prior to Visa, Adele was responsible for finance recruitment at Credit Suisse and was part of the team that set up centralised recruitment.
