What are your areas of specialisation and why did you choose this specialty?

My area of specialisation is helping people prepare successfully for the second half of their life – retirement. I chose this area because I feel that many people do not realise the second half of their lives should be exciting. As a result, most never plan for it. Based on my years of experience, I feel that I can provide practical solutions to motivate and equip them to do so.

What makes your training unique?

Many retirement workshops out there are usually general, theoretical and cover only the financial aspects. But retirement planning involves not just wealth, but health and having a purpose in life. Our workshops not only cover these aspects but involve hands-on discovery of your own situation.

In a workshop with one of our clients, we made use of a board game to open up the minds of participants toward retirement. We used a retirement calculator to understand their current financial situation and even a brain gym exercise to help them understand the need to cope with aging health. The entire workshop also included inspirational stories that touched the hearts of the participants. After the workshop ended, they were motivated to set a purpose for their retirement goals and have an action plan to achieve them.

How much does a session cost?

Our two-day workshop would usually cost S$5,000. We also have a six-day “Financial Planning for Non-Financial Planners” course led by a team of practitioners with various expertise. That is available to everyone at S$2,000.

How will your training benefit your participants?

Participants would leave motivated, knowing the specific ways to achieve their desired retirement goals.

What companies have you worked for?

I have worked with the Ministry of Defence, Johnson & Johnson and Prudential.

How long have you been a trainer?

I have been a trainer for as long as 10 years.

What was your profession before you started as a trainer?

I train on top of my role and position as a CEO for Providend, a sole fee-only wealth management firm. Though I am not a full time trainer, I have conducted trainings for many corporations and institutions.

Why did you decide to be a trainer?

I am very passionate about equipping, empowering and motivating people to be financially successful.

What school did you graduate from?

I graduated from University of Warwick UK with an MBA.

How can people contact you?
