What are your areas of coaching and why did you choose this specialty?

Corporate communications training and coaching – voice coaching and optimisation, accent neutralisation, media skills, presentation skills, English language, intercultural communications and business writing. I’ve always enjoyed diversification in my work and like to apply it in my own business. The jigsaw puzzle of diverse pieces came together organically over time – some were very intentional and others I fell into.

What makes your training unique?

All my communications training and coaching is customised specifically for the client. I work with my clients on their tone, pitch, volume, projection, pace, range and pronunciation to bring out their natural, rich authenticity of their voice.

How much does a session cost?

Typical voice coaching packages range from S$1,800 to S$3,000. For communications training, I offer competitive pricing workshops ranging from half a day to several days and modular programmes. Costs vary according to design, duration and volume.

How will your training benefit your participants?

Our voice is a very important and effective instrument which most of us don’t use to its fullest potential. Improving the way we speak and communicate, whether it be 1:1, in meetings, on the phone or to the media, builds confidence and creates a positive impact both in business and daily life.

What companies have you worked with?

I’ve had the opportunity to work with many quality companies in Singapore over the past 11 years. They include Exxon Mobil, IBM and Oracle.

How long have you been a trainer for?

Ten years.

What was your profession before you started as a trainer?

I worked in television and airline entertainment. These days, in between juggling my training workshops and sessions, I have continued with my radio presenting (938LIVE), golf writing for a number of Singapore publications and voiceovers for television and radio commercials and corporate campaigns.

What made you decide to be a trainer?

I enjoy interacting with people and seeing doors open for them when they enhance their communications. I’m passionate about the voice as an instrument and improved communications as the pathway to greater professional and personal success.

What school did you graduate from? What did you major in?

I am certified by the University of Cambridge and have been trained and coached in numerous business and communication arenas.
