India - Those currently unemployed can now look forward to more recruitment opportunities in India within the next three months.

According to the Manpower Outlook Survey, India has emerged as the most optimistic country in terms of hiring plans, with a Net Employment Outlook of 25% for the fourth quarter of 2009 - the highest among 35 countries surveyed.

By comparison, the Net Employment Outlook in the last quarter in China was 8%, Canada at 5% and negative in the US and Britain.

The survey also found that sectors such as finance, insurance, real estate, services, wholesale and retail trade, public administration and education, and construction sector are now looking to hire as well.

"Indian employers have absorbed the layoffs conducted in the third quarter and are telling us they will be hiring again at a conservative pace," said Naresh Malhan, managing director of Manpower India. "We have been showing the strongest hiring expectations globally since the third quarter of 2008."

The survey polled 5,637 employers across 30 cities in India.
