Australia - One in three employees say they are stressed about work, with nursing topping the list of most stressful occupations for women. Driving trains is also found to be the most stressful job for men.
According to The Sunday Telegraph, a Newspoll survey of 1,200 people, it found the most stressed professions to be nurses, doctors, ambulance officers and teachers.
The top three most stressful occupations for women were nurses, women police officers and social workers. For men, it was train drivers, prison warders and police officers.
Furthermore, about 40% of respondents say that stress caused them to be sick. A study conducted by the University of Sydney found stress to cost the government about AU$300,000 (S$349,911) each day.
Some physical signs of stress includes indigestion, stomach problems, dilated eyes, dry skin and teeth and gum erosion from grinding teeth during unsettled sleep.
