CHERIE HEARTS  EMPLOYMENT  JOBS

Singapore - With plans to set up 50 more childcare centres by the end of this year, Cherie Hearts expects to hire about 300 more people.

Because the childcare centre has not really seen any major or adverse reactions as a result of the recession, Gurchran Singh, group president and co-founder of Cherie Hearts says there are also plans to set up ten more childcare centres overseas.

For the local job market, there will be openings for childcare teachers, centre principals, centre support staff as well as staff for the corporate headquarters. Cherie Hearts plans to work collaboratively with their training arm, First Learning and Training Centre, to recruit students from the training centre who have shown strong potential and successfully completed the course. In addition, the organisation will also continue to participate in employment and career fairs to reach out to potential candidates.

With a low turnover rate, Singh says Cherie Hearts has always believed very strongly in work-life harmony for its staff, promoting work-life balance through the implementation of various work-life strategies like flexi-work arrangements, telecommuting and free childcare. "In Cherie Hearts, our people are our most valuable assets, and therefore the staff's welfare and development are our priority," says Singh.
