Singapore – CapitaLand will provide relief to tenants without compromising on staff bonuses by distributing a small component of this year’s bonus in the form of shopping vouchers.
Redeemable at 12 CapitaLand malls island-wide, this is the first time CapitaLand is distributing vouchers in such a manner to approximately 680 managerial staff in Singapore. The amounts given out will range from S$750 to S$10,000 in value, depending on the total bonus.
Staff will be able to use the vouchers at over 1,000 participating outlets. Vouchers are redeemable for household essentials such as groceries at Giant Hypermarket and Cold Storage. Moreover, staff will also be able to indulge in movies, fashion and jewellery as well.
According to a CapitaLand spokesperson, “This innovative initiative to increase expenditure and footfall at our malls enables CapitaLand to directly support our retail tenants during this challenging economic climate.” He added that staff will also benefit as they are still able to spend and have a wide variety of products to choose from.
Staff response has been positive as they understood that targeting consumption at CapitaLand malls will create a multiplier effect, conducive for a win-win situation for both tenants and staff.
