What are your areas of specialisation and why did you choose this specialty?
My experiences have always been centred on customers in sales and marketing, customer service, and organising training courses. My penchant is to help develop people’s skills and potential. It was only a matter of time before I started conducting training and facilitation myself. And once I bit this bug, I have loved every minute of it.
What makes your training unique?
It is not a sit down and listen workshop. Each workshop is filled with activity and buzz the moment the participants walk in, a combination of experiential and classroom learning. I also pay special attention to creating a high-energy and non-threatening environment, as creative thinking cannot be done in an environment of fear, anxiety, and boredom.
How much does a session cost?
It’s $285 per person, but we are able to give discounts depending on the number of participants, the number of runs, and if the organisation is a past client.
What we have also created is a two-tier client structure, where more benefits are provided to tier-one clients who take up four or more workshops with us in a year. They get to access our research and reference services, specially prepared holistic reports based on all the ideas generated at all workshops, and discounts on our other workshops.
How will your training benefit participants?
We are looking at enhancing their creative thinking skills and abilities. They will learn how to unlock their creativity and solve issues and problems, or find new ways to take advantage of opportunities. Organisations stand to benefit by having more innovative ideas from their staff, and not have to spend more using external consultants.
What companies have you worked with?
We have worked with companies such as MICA, Tan Tock Seng and Sun Microsystems.
How long have you been a trainer?
Three years now.
What was your profession before you started as a trainer?
I was mainly in the marketing and customer service line.
What made you decide to be a trainer?
Sounds cliché, but really, it’s a calling. I’ve always thought of running a workshop someday, and my chance came once I joined NLB.
What school did you graduate from?
NUS, Faculty of Arts and Social Science
How can people contact you?
