New general manager heading The Ritz-Carlton, Beijing

The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company has promoted hotel manager Tarik Temucin to the role of general manager of The Ritz-Carlton in Beijing.

Temucin (pictured), a Turkish national, started out with the company 14 years ago in the food and beverage discipline in Istanbul, and has since played an instrumental role in implementing action plans for the Beijing hotel during challenging market conditions.

He has also been recognised as outstanding leader in The Ritz-Carlton, Sanya, The Ritz-Carlton, Millenia Singapore and The Ritz-Carlton, Istanbul; as well as selected as a pre-opening trainer for seven Ritz-Carlton hotels including flagship properties in Istanbul, Tokyo, Moscow and Hong Kong.

In announcing the appointment, Victor Clavell, area vice president of APAC at The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, said, "Tarik’s high level of commitment, organisational skills and efficiency coupled with his financial acumen has led him to be successful in his prior appointments."

"I am confident that Tarik will undoubtedly continue to pursue excellence in his new role and I would like to take this opportunity to wish Tarik continued success."
