• Contribute to the design and development of the reward strategy, ensuring that policy and practice is aligned to the business and people strategies.
• Contribute to the design and development of new global reward programs and lead the regional change management and communication of each thus ensuring successful implementation.
• Global process owner for assigned reward processes – Job classification, Merit Budgeting, Market Intelligence, Market Analysis, Range Development, Salary Administration, Incentive Pay, Benefits
• Regional responsibility for effective management all annual reward processes including annual salary planning, market intelligence and analysis and salary budget preparation
• Development of a “current state analysis” of benefits provided by OUP in each country. Analysis of OUP benefit provision versus statutory minimum and market norms and make recommendations for benefit changes taking the entire OUP Reward offering into consideration.
• Responsible for managing key external partner relationships at a senior level, continually driving enhanced value from all contracts and ensuring quality service is delivered to the organisation.
• Understand all OUP business challenges in region and support each with pragmatic and practical solutions that support both the HR and Business agendas.
• Manage the operational elements of Reward within the region and standardise globally when opportunities to do so exist or transition to the Global HR Operations team as appropriate.
• Be seen as a credible regional reward expert and advocate of the Reward Centre of Expertise.
• Assist the Global Mobility Manager with regional assignments as appropriate.


• The successful applicant will have a bachelor’s degree and 5 to 10 years of relevant experience (or equivalent) as a Reward Specialist or Manager in a global organisation and will have a strong track record of delivering a broad range of reward initiatives in a complex environment.
• Proven track record of ability to analyse complex data and communicate output in a method appropriate to the target audience
• Broad knowledge of all aspects of the compensation and benefits portfolio
• Experience of managing both compensation and benefits external suppliers.
• Must be proficient in both written and spoken English.
• Prior experience working in the Publishing industry would be advantageous but is not a must.
• Experience of Global Mobility programs is desirable but is not a must
