Khairul Amir takes on assistant learning manager role

Following his role as assistant human resources manager at the Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, Khairul Amir takes on the new challenge of assistant learning manager. In his current role,  he will be oversee, implement and plan the brand’s learning and development strategy, provide solution and contingency plan in learning area, as well as ensure that the delivery of training will be in effective practices in focused area. Previously, he has worked with various hospitality brands such as Sunway International Hotels & Resorts, and Lexis Hotel Group. He is currently based in Malaysia.

Pan Pacific Singapore welcomes Catherine Ang

Bringing with her years of experience in human resources, training and quality experiences in the hospitality and service industry; Cathering Ang joins Pan Pacific Singapore as its director, human capital and development. Her skills include talent management, industrial relations, quality and process improvement, compensation and benefit, learning and development, resourcing and system set up. Based in Singapore, she was previously working with Minor Food Group Singapore.

Germaine Liew takes up HR partner role

In April 2018, Germaine Liew joins Systems on Silicon Manufacturing Company as its HR partner. Prior to this, she was with Schneider Electric as its senior HR generalist - business partnering. She started out her HR career with Recruit Express in 2013, and had graduated from University of London with a Degree in Business. She is currently based in Singapore.

Enterprise Singapore welcomes Matthias Poh

Enterprise Singapore, a global organisation that seeks to grow stronger Singapore enterprises, introduces Matthias Poh joins as its director for human resources and organisation development.

In the role, he leads a team of HR and OD professionals to enable its global team of officers to thrive at building the capabilities of companies both domestically and internationally. Enterprise Singapore has 35 overseas centres to support Singapore enterprises in internationalisation; and works closely with its partners to accelerate the pace and scale of the growth for its Singapore companies. Poh is based in Singapore.

Convergys welcomes talent acquisition professional

Joining Convergys in March 2018, Shoba Mangalesvaran is its recently-appointed talent acquisition. Providing customer experience outsourcing, Convergys infuses innovation, insights, and operational excellence to make every experience great for both customers and businesses. Based in Malaysia, she was previously working with GoQuo as its HR and talent acquisition specialist from June 2016 to Jan 2017. In addition, she has worked with Expedia, Inc., DISYS, Manpower Staffing Services, and others

Genaline Cruz joins RingCentral

In April 2018, RingCentral welcomes Genaline Cruz as its director for total rewards. Cruz is an experienced total rewards director with a demonstrated history of working in the insurance, finance, cement and IT industry. Skilled in talent management, people development, employee relations, employee engagement, customer service and personnel management, she is a strong human resources professional with a Bachelor of Arts (BA) focused in Business Administration and Management, General from Miriam College. Previously, she was Manulife's director, of total rewards for global resourcing Asia. She is based in Philippines.

Liberty General Insurance promotes Jayesh Sampat

Jayesh Sampat joined Liberty General Insurance in 2011 where he started off as country head, human resources with the group. Moving up the ladder, he has been recently promoted to president - human resources, business operations and customer experience. He has held HR leadership roles in the banking and financial services in India, while leading portfolios in various gamut of HR. He is based in India.

Farzana Khan joins ManpowerGroup

Joining ManpowerGroup in April 2018 as a recruitment consultant, Farzana Khan will focus not only on attracting candidates but also providing valuable service to them. Speaking to Human Resources, she said: "I would like to achieve milestones as a 360-degree recruiter who knows everything about recruitment."

Sharing her HR mantra, she commented: "An outstanding performer with the aim of providing valuable service to my clients and candidates."

"I always believe, candidates - specifically Millennials - should be treated with empathy and kindness. I hope I can be someone well-known in the recruitment industry, recognised for treating candidates with the utmost respect." She is currently based in Malaysia.

Spring Professional welcomes consultant - IT security

Hong Jun Lim joins Spring Professional in April 2018 as its consultant - IT security. In his current role, he will be specialised in mid-to-senior IT security roles such as security Consultant/specialist/intelligence, IT security analyst, IT security Manager, IT security engineer, IT security administrator, IT security architect, chief information security officer (CISO), and chief security officer (CSO). Previously, he was the regional IT recruiter for APAC in en world group. He is based in Singapore.

ChapmanCG promotes Steve Brown

Steve Brown joined ChapmanCG in June 2017 where he was appointed as senior director. He has recently been promoted to managing director in April 2018 at ChapmanCG - the world's only retained executive search firm dedicated to the Human Resources profession with a presence across the Americas, Europe, the Middle East and Africa and Asia Pacific. Prior to this, Brown was the regional director, human resources at Profile Search & Selection for more than five years. He continues to be based in Singapore.
