 HR practitioner appointments

CBRE welcomes APAC head of human resourcesRob Clements has recently joined CBRE as its Asia Pacific head of human resources for its Global Workplace Solutions business. Prior to this, his most recent role before joining CBRE was with Korn Ferry HayGroup leading their global financial services advisory practice for Asia Pacific. He continues to be based in Singapore, and started his career in HR in 2012 with Bank of Tokyo - Mitsubishi UFJ (BTMU) where he was head of BTMU's HR business advisory team leading HR transformation and supporting significant business growth across 17 countries and network of over 40 branches and 8000 staff.

Aileen Tan becomes chief human resources officer at AIA Singapore Aileen Tan is chief human resources officer of AIA Singapore. She drives the development and execution of AIA Singapore’s HR strategy to support the company’s business growth, focusing on talent and leadership development, succession planning, as well as organisational and performance management.

A firm believer in human capital development, Tan supports her people to achieve their full potential by challenging them to go beyond their comfort zones as they continually upgrade their skills and capabilities. Prior to her role at AIA Singapore, Aileen was previously vice president, office of human resources at National University of Singapore (NUS), where she successfully centralised and standardised the HR processes, governance and practices. She was also instrumental in initiating the shared services operations for the team to improve efficiency and effectiveness in supporting the organisation’s growth.  She is based in Singapore.

Timothy Chia promoted to head of HR, AsiaIn February 2018, Timothy Chia has been promoted to head of HR, Asia of O-I. Joining the company in January 2017, Chia had been serving as the regional HR business partner APAC for more than a year. Prior to this, he was director, HR business partner APAC at American Express. Based in Singapore, he has worked with other companies such as aDvantage Consulting Group, Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore, and more.

AnyMind Group announces CHROAnyMind Group has announced the appointment of Akinori Nishiyama as chief human resource officer (CHRO) in February. Nishiyama will be tasked with leading AnyMind Group’s global human resource function – developing, implementing and standardizing human resource policies across the organization. His responsibilities include driving talent development, employee engagement and building a sustainable framework for HR work across AnyMind Group.

“Both founders of AnyMind Group value staff as the top priority, and I am confident of building on this. We will organise around three key areas: First, we want to develop a framework for HR policy across the organization. We will then identify and develop an internal pipeline of high performing talent. Lastly, we will create a sustainable work environment and company identity,” said Nishiyama.

Prior to joining AnyMind Group, Nishiyama was director of MicroAd, Inc. and CEO of MicroAd Plus, Inc., and held a leadership role at CyberAgent. She is based in Singapore.

Infodrive Solutions welcomes Kapil GairolaMalaysia-based Kapil Gairola has left his role as talent acquisition head at Emerio-An NTT communication company, to join MSC Status company Infodrive Solutions. His past experience includes stints at Accion Labs as senior manager talent acquisition and Trinau as resource manager. In his current role, Kapil is heading sales and talent acquisition initiatives for Infodrive, Singapore & Malaysia. Not only that, he is responsible for key accounts management for staffing services of Infodrive, Singapore & Malaysia as well as client engagements, account management, and accounts mapping.

Censof Holdings introduces human resources general managerSamantha Dawson joins Censof Holdings as its human resources general manager. Based in Malaysia, Dawson was previously the VP human resource of Deloitte Malaysia where she served her role for more than two years. As the head of recruitment at Deloitte Malaysia then, she managed all executive recruitment efforts while building and leading a team of recruiters who support the global efforts. Under the direction of the SEA HR Director, she worked with business leaders and HR across a variety of departments globally to make sure all senior management hiring needs are met. Prior to that, she has worked with Randstad malaysia, Brooklyn International, Talent2 HRO and more.

Mott MacDonald promotes Sana Sayed MoneJoining Mott MacDonald in 2012 as a recruitment officer, Sana Sayed Mone has recently been appointed as its talent acquisition lead. In her current role, she is responsible for day-to-day recruitment for the energy and advisory sectors. She is also responsible for bringing improvement and standardisation of the company's processes across all sectors, coach hiring managers, mentor other recruiters and partner with sector resource leaders to align different views and plans to effectively prioritise hiring needs and requisitions ensuring appropriate and timely delivery.

Zahrah Zaid joins Danone in SingaporeIn January 2018, Zahrah Zaid joined Danone in Singapore as its transformation director Asia Pacific and Middle Eastern region. Previously, she was with Malaysia Airlines as its executive vice-president human capital for more than six years. Prior to working with Malaysia Airlines, Zahrah was actually working with Danone group from 2008 to 2012. Danone is dedicated to bringing health through food to as many people as possible, and is a leading global food company built on four business lines: essential dairy and plant-based products, early life nutrition, waters and medical nutrition.

Anish Lalchandani strengthens learning and culture optimisation teamPreviously the global head talent and succession management at Standard Chartered Bank, Anish Lalchandani is now the global head talent, learning & culture optimisation / lead executive talent management at the bank. Prior to joining Standard Chartered Bank in July 2007, where he climbed the ranks, Anish was a management consultant at Interim Management. Some of the work he has done in the past has given him diverse experience in partnering with business stakeholder, which includes succession management and development of executive teams; and leading global change initiatives related to transforming people, process, system and culture. He is based in Singapore.

Christine Wee becomes head of sales and marketing, corporate solutionsChristine Wee joins AIA Singapore as head of sales & marketing, corporate solutions. An insurance industry veteran with over 15 years’ experience, she assists clients and intermediaries with the review and service delivery of AIA’s employee benefits programme. Prior to joining AIA, she was Asia head of accident and health as well as head of operations at Berkley Insurance Asia. She brings a diverse range of sales and operations experience, having worked with various companies including Singtel, AIG and Mercer. She is based in Singapore.

Randstad Sourceright hires senior sourcing specialistMoving to Randstad Sourceright in February 2018, Irene Micah joins the team as a senior sourcing specialist. She comes with close to a decade of HR experience, where she started out as a recruitment associate at PacificHub Corporation. In her current role, she will be focusing on providing talents to the client within the FMCG industry; and will be reporting to the firm's associate director. Based in Malaysia, she has worked with firms such as Talent Cap Consultancy, Accenture, Shell, and more.
