HR practitioner appointments

Nor Izzudin Shah is HR director, Asia at Yonder Music Inc.Effective April 2017, Izzudin joinned Yonder Music Inc. as the HR director for Asia, moving from TPaay Asia where he was the head of people and culture. Prior to that, Izzudin was the HR manager at Rosen Asia Pacific. In his new role, Izzudin will remain based in Malaysia.

Johnny Loke takes up a new role at RHB BankIn April 2017, Loke moved from being the bank’s head, training and development, to the role of head, retail learning and development. Prior to joining RHB Bank in January 2013, Loke was the training and development manager, cards and consumer lending at Citibank Malaysia. In his new role, Loke will remain based in Malaysia.

Village Grocer Holdings promotes Zaihasmizah MZaihasmizah has been promoted by Village Grocer Holdings to the role of HR manager, from her previous role of assistant HR manager. Prior to joining Village Grocer Holdings, she was a human resource senior executive at CMA CGM. In her new role, Zaihasmizah will remain based in Malaysia.

Siti Sarah Badri joins Gadang HoldingsIn April 2017, Gadang Holdings appointed Siti Sarah to the role of recruiter (technical / construction). She moves to the civil engineering company from her previous role as a sourcing specialist at Randstad Sourceright APAC Sourcing Centre. Prior to that, Siti Sarah was a HR trainee (intern) at PETRONAS Lubricants International. In this new role, she will remain based in Malaysia.

IKEA Southeast Asia welcomes Neal Guo to its recruitment teamBased in Singapore, Neal Guo joined the home furnishing company in April 2017 in the role of recruitment manager, moving from his previous role as talent specialist at Korn Ferry Futurestep. Prior to that, Guo recruited for retail roles in Apple through Korn Ferry Futurestep.

Commenting on his new role, Guo told Human Resources that his top priorities for the first year in this role include developing and improving the recruitment process; developing recruitment competences of relevant partners; managing and driving for operational excellence; and executing long term recruitment strategies.

Mohd Firdaus Mohd Bohari joins FJ Benjamin (Malaysia)Effective March 2017, Firdaus joined the fashion and lifestyle group as an assistant manager talent acquisition and engagement, moving from his previous role as human resources executive - employee relations at Valiram Group. Prior to working at Valiram Group, Firdaus was a personnel consultant at Adecco Personnel Services. In his new role, Firdaus will be based in Malaysia.

AirAsia promotes Allan Phang to role of AirAsia regional corporate cultureSince joining the low-cost carrier in November 2013, Phang rapidly rose up the ranks, most recently moving into the role of AirAsia regional corporate culture in April 2017. Prior to this, he was in the role of AirAsia regional partnership and business development, group commercial. Phang will remain based in Malaysia.

Luigie Cabanilla leaves Ericsson for Pepsi-Cola Products PhilippinesCabanilla joined the beverage company in March 2017 as HRM - cagayan valley operations, moving from his previous role as senior recruitment consultant (onsite) at Ericsson. Prior to that, Cabanilla was the APAC sourcing lead (life science / engineering / IT / finance) at Randstad Sourceright. In this new role, he will remain based in the Philippines.

Digi Telecommunications welcomes a new recruitment partnerBased in Malaysia, Choong Phek Mei joined Digi Telecommunications in March 2017 in the role of recruitment partner, moving from her previous role as recruitment manager at Lazada Express (LEX). Prior to that, Choong was the recruitment team lead at Sunway Group.

Timothy G. Andrew joins Roche from AmBank GroupAndrew joined the pharmaceuticals and diagnostics company in April 2017 in the role of HR business partner, moving away from his previous role as HR manager, business partner - group information services at AmBank Group. Before joining AmBank Group in February 2015, he was a human resource talent manager and business partner - production and maintenance (upstream) at Shell. He is based in Malaysia.

Nur Sharina Sumardi takes up role of HR payroll specialist at BASFSharina joined the German chemical company in February 2010 as HR analyst service desk. After moving up the ranks as a data analyst, Sharina most recently took up a new role in April 2017, moving from the role of HR master data analyst to HR payroll specialist. In this new role, her responsibilities include processing employees' payroll accurately and in a timely manner, as well as analysing and resolving critical master data related issues and inquiries.  Sharina remains based in Malaysia.

Dining Concepts promotes Zoey Tin to role of assistant HR managerBased in Hong Kong, Tin joined the company in  November 2014 as human resources manager. Quickly moving up the ranks, in April 2017, Tin was promoted from the role of human resources supervisor to the role of assistant human resources manager. Prior to joining the restaurants company, Tin worked as an assistant human resources officer at Auberge Discovery Bay HongKong Hotel.

Herman Chui is senior specialist, C&B at Louis VuittonChui joined the international fashion house as senior specialist, compensation and benefits in May 2017, moving from his previous role as corporate HR executive, C&B and projects at The Hong Kong and China Gas Company (Towngas). Before joining Towngas, he was the senior human resources officer - compensation and benefits at KCS. Chui will remain based in Hong Kong.

HR solutions provider appointments

Korn Ferry Futurestep promotes Angela YangWith effect from April 2017, Yang has been promoted by Korn Ferry Futurestep from the role of consultant - life sciences, to the role of managing consultant - life sciences. Prior to joining Korn Ferry, Yang was the senior executive search consultant at Faro Recruitment (Singapore). In her new role, she will be based in Singapore.

Dineshini Paramasivam joins Hunters InternationalDineshini left her previous role as associate consultant at Hammersonn Asia Pacific, to join Hunters International in April 2017 as a researcher. Starting her career in 2012, she has worked for various multinationals such as Randstad and Kelly Financial Resources. Her new role will see her based in Malaysia.

Randstad India welcomes Paul Dupuis as chief operating officerJoining the recruitment company's Japan branch in September 2013 as managing director - professionals, moving up the ranks in July 2014 to the role of managing director and board member - Randstad Japan. This recent move in April 2017 sees Dupuis relocating to the recruitment company's India office in the role of chief operating officer.

Speaking to Human Resources on his new role, Dupuis said: "There have been some significant developments over the past 2 years, both politically and economically, which have pushed India into the spotlight on a global level. For the Randstad Group, moving forward, India is a key market and has become a high priority for growth and investment."

"To better leverage the immense opportunities that India affords, my immediate priorities are to transform Randstad India into a customer-centric culture, fostering a learning organisation with an emphasis on innovation and delivery excellence. We will be relentless in our focus on delivering on our promise to clients and candidates."

Rolling Arrays welcomes Izzah H. Saibudin to its consultant teamIzzah joined the HR solutions provider in April 2017 in the role of associate consultant, moving from her previous role as executive, HR at UEM Edgenta. Prior to that, she was a purchasing manager at Dah Makan. In her new role, Izzah will be based in Malaysia.

Speaking to Human Resources, Izzah revealed her top priorities for the first year which included completing the on-the-job training on various aspects of HR transformation including HR consulting, HRIS implementation, change management and support services; and being able to configure the system with the guidance of project manager and solutions teams to deliver SAP HR Cloud Projects.

Jason Heah moves to ManpowerGroupBased in Singapore, Heah made the switch in April 2017, when he took up the role of senior consultant at ManpowerGroup. In this new role, some of Heah’s responsibilities include underwriting (P&C)(life), distribution (financial consultant), and claims. Prior to that, he worked with PrimeStaff Management Services with his most recent role being consulting manager.

Manulife welcomes Mannoj Vijay to its training and development teamVijay joined the insurance company in March 2017 in the role of manager, training and development, moving from his previous role as manager of LSE APAC, Middle East, Africa and Europe at marcus evans Group. Prior to that he was a business development executive at Tanjung Offshore. Vijay is based in Malaysia.

Shashindran Ravindran moves from HPE Continuity to DXC TechnologyBased in Malaysia, Ravindran joined the end-to-end IT services and solutions company in April 2017 as talent acquisition consultant, moving from his previous role as staffing advisor at HPE Continuity. Prior to that, Vijay was a senior business associate at Tech Maihindra Business Services.

Bupa Global appoints general manager for Asia Pacific regionOn 2 May 2017, Bupa Global announced the appointment of Angus Slater to general manager, Bupa Global Asia Pacific. Slater had been leading the Bupa Global Greater China region on an interim basis since February 2017, whilst also maintaining his role of sales and commercial director for Bupa Hong Kong.  Prior to this, Angus was marketing director for Bupa Global based in London. Angus has extensive international experience and before joining Bupa, held senior leadership roles with Vodafone and Accenture. Slater will remain based in Hong Kong.
