font recruitment appoints new APAC regional director

font, a specialist recruiter for the marketing, digital and creative industry, has announced two new senior appointments as part of the firm's plans to drive growth across Asia.

These new appointments - both experienced creatives themselves - represent the firm's continuing investment in its capabilities to place quality talent across the highly competitve industry.

Respected marketing and recruitment veteran Priya Bala (pictured) has been promoted as regional director to lead the firm’s Asia-Pacific expansion, whilst branding and communications specialist Megan Savory takes on the role of New Zealand country manager.

As regional director, Bala – who has more than two decades’ experience in the sector – will spearhead font’s business growth and development, managing key accounts, and overseeing marketing and branding strategies. Bala is also focused on hiring experts in marketing, digital and creative sectors to fill recruiter roles at font.

These creative industry experts-turned-recruiters are proven to deliver stronger results for clients, thanks to a deeper, hands-on understanding of the roles they are hiring for. font’s offices in Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong and New Zealand have already started bolstering such teams.

Previously, Bala served as country manager of font Malaysia, where she tripled the size of the business and enabled 50% team growth in less than two years. Her responsibilities now extend to the management of font’s Singapore, Hong Kong and Malaysia teams.

In New Zealand, Megan Savory is another important addition to font’s growing team. With 15 years of industry and management experience, Savory will be in charge of font New Zealand’s business growth, key client relationships and the hiring and development of the internal team.

Since its establishment in April 2013, font has expanded to become one of the top talent agencies in the region – the company has grown by close to 50% in revenue and doubled the size of its Asia Pacific teams.
