In the company of more than 350 attendees, HR Vendors of the Year 2016 Awards, Singapore hosted on 24 November 2016 at the Shangri-La Hotel saw ManpowerGroup Singapore crowned as the Best Overall Recruitment Firm for its excellence in matching the right candidates, to the right roles across the recruitment spectrum.
Organised by Human Resources and produced by Evon Yew, the HR Vendors of the Year Awards is the largest event celebrating achievements by HR solutions providers, held in Hong Kong, Singapore and Malaysia. What makes the process unique, is that judging is done by heads of HR from some of the region’s biggest employers.
ManpowerGroup Singapore also won gold in the Best Recruitment Firm (senior management roles over US$10k per month) award followed by Randstad with silver and Kelly Singapore taking home the bronze award. The Best Recruitment Firm (non-management roles under US$4k per month) saw Adecco Personnel winning gold, ManpowerGroup winning silver, and RGF bagging the bronze award.
As for the Best Recruitment Firm (mid-management roles US$4k-US$10k per month), Kelly Singapore was the big gold winner, followed by Michael Page International with silver and while the bronze award went to Robert Walters.
The digital sphere had some strong contenders in the Best Recruitment Portal award – JobStreet.com with its gold win, ACI HR Solutions Singapore winning silver, and the bronze award going to STJobs.
Another candidate that impressed the jury was CXA Group, winning gold in the Best Corporate Wellness Consultant award (followed by Raffles Medical Group with silver and MHC Asia Group with bronze); and not forgetting a bronze in Best Compensation & Benefits Consultant (where gold was bagged by Mercer and silver by Willis Towers Watson).
As for recognising and rewarding talent, BI Worldwide stood out in the Best Employee Recognition, Incentives & Rewards Consultant award with its gold win, followed by silver winner, Rewardz; and Power2Motivate winning bronze.
When it comes to healthcare, the following companies take employee wellness seriously. The Best Employee Insurance Provider award saw AIA Singapore winning gold, Aviva Singapore with a silver and Aon Hewitt with a bronze. Additionally, Fullerton Healthcare Group won gold, with Integrated Health Plans winning the silver, and the bronze going to Raffles Medical Group in the Best Corporate Healthcare Provider.
In addition to being crowned gold for Best Talent Management Software (where Oracle won silver and Unit4 Asia Pacific won bronze), SAP SuccessFactors won bronze in Best Learning Management System (where PageUp won gold and Workday won the silver award). Notably, SAP SuccessFactors won silver in the Best HR Management System award, with Justlogin going home with bronze, while the big winner of the category was Oracle as the gold winner.
Oracle also took home gold in Best Applicant Tracking Software award, where IBM Singapore won the silver award followed by ServiceDott with its bronze win.
When it comes to the core of enabling HR, Ramco Systems tops it in the Best Payroll Software award, followed by Justlogin (winning silver) and Excelity Global Solutions (winning bronze). As for working with the Best Payroll Outsourcing Partner, TIMES SOFTWARE, ADP and Links International won the gold, silver and bronze award respectively.
As for HR practitioners looking for the Best Recruitment Process Outsourcing Partner, be sure to check out gold winner KellyOCG Singapore. Likewise, you’ll be partnering right with Resource Solutions which took home the silver award while bronze went to Allegis Global Solutions Singapore.
As we move on to the topic of mobility, Santa Fe Relocation Services tops the list with its gold win in the Best Relocation Company award, where Crown Relocations won silver and Graebel APAC Centre won the bronze.
As for ensuring that foreign talent is well taken care of, Brookfield Global Relocation Services stood out with its gold win in the Best Mobility & Orientation Consultant award, followed by Crown World Mobility with silver, and SIRVA Worldwide Relocation & Moving with bronze.
In the field of smooth employee exits, the Best Outplacement Consultant award saw Right Management Singapore winning the gold, followed by Lee Hecht Harrison close with its silver win and Sandbox Advisors winning the bronze.
In addition, the Best Car Leasing Provider award saw Goldbell Car Rental with gold, Hawk Rent a Car winning a silver and Hertz Asia Pacific driving away with a bronze. Not missing out on ensuring employees feel at home even on overseas duties, the Best Serviced Apartment Company had tough competition, with Frasers Hospitality winning gold, Pan Pacific Serviced Suites Singapore with silver and Shangri-La Apartments, Singapore bagging the bronze.
On the other hand, having understood the importance of getting to truly know your candidates, the Best Background Screening Provider saw HireRight leading with a gold award, followed by silver winner, Sterling Talent Solutions; and bronze going to First Advantage. As for the Best Psychometric Testing Provider, CEB took home the gold award, with Talent Plus a strong competitor with its silver win, along with StrengthsAsia as the bronze winner.
With training and development a huge part of the upskilling focus at present, there’s no wondering why many awards unearthed compelling candidates in this sector. One example being the Best Team Building Training Provider award where FOCUS Adventure won gold, followed by Right Impact Training with silver and Griness Centre for Training & Development winning bronze.
Other categories included the Best Sales Training Provider award winners from SCOTWORK ASIA (gold), SOCO Sales Training (silver) and Marketing Institute of Singapore (bronze). Similarly, the Best IT Training Provider award gave recognition to Singapore National Employers Federation with gold, followed by Management Development & Consultancy with silver and SAP SuccessFactors with bronze.
Some of the companies that made notable impact on the jury included AVADO Asia Pacific (silver in Best Management Training Provider), SIM Professional Development (bronze in Best Management Training Provider), along with winners from the Best Leadership Development Consultant award – DDI Singapore (gold) and BTS Asia Pacific (silver).
Of course, a conducive environment goes a long way in training and development – which is why the Best Training Venue award applauded Suntec Singapore Convention & Exhibition Centre (gold), Singapore Institute of Retail Studies, Nanyang Polytechnic (silver) and Village Hotels & Residences by Far East Hospitality (bronze).
