Drawing the day to an end, our next speaker started her career as a programmer, then picked up some business chops on how start-ups work while in a tech start-up and went on to found LittleLives.

The next speaker has built the foundation of the HR division at Rakuten Asia, revamping all HR functions and policies to create a productive and conducive environment for all stakeholders. In fact, she has introduced creative initiatives and policies that have not only resulted in extensive cost savings, but also paved the way for her team to be nominated as one of the top HR teams in Singapore.

Today, Dawn Wong, general manager human resources and admin at Rakuten Asia, will be presenting a case study on empowering employee engagement through HR benefits.

Presenting the next case study, our next speaker has worked extensively in the field of analytics for marketing and operations, and is the founder and director of the “Chez Alexandre” boutique hotel in Greece. Currently, she is the managing director for foodpanda in Singapore. Before that she was the managing director of foodpanda in Malaysia and worked closely with the top management team leading analytics.

Sharing her expertise on restructuring expenditure without minimising benefits, here is Aspa Lekka, managing director of foodpanda with her insightful case study.

Continuing with the topic on cost and governance, the next speaker is the head of human resources at Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts. She has over 37 years of professional experience in leadership roles covering the full spectrum of human resources management, sourcing, supply chain management, finance and general administrative functions.

Her expertise and knowledge spans across various US-based apparel sourcing operations, retail, facility management, publishing and currently in the education industry.

Being an expert in the C&B area for more than 15 years, he has been greatly involved in a wide range of human capital projects, which include organisation structure design, job analysis and evaluation and setting up grading structures.

More importantly, he has worked on the total rewards design, which comprises salary structure design and reviews, benefits programme reviews and harmonisation during the company’s transition and merger and acquisition, sales incentive design and more. The next speaker on stage leads the health analytics team at Aon Centre for innovation and analytics. In this role, he is responsible for co-ordinating Aon’s global strategy as it relates to health analytics.

He is focused on creating analytics capabilities that leverage multiple data sources, designing leading-edge strategies for employers and improving underlying individual health. Before moving to Singapore, he spent 10 years as a health and benefits consultant with Aon in Chicago.

Now, Geoffrey Kuhn, senior vice president and global health analytics leader at Aon will be sharing his expert opinions on the future of employee benefits.

Bringing you a ted-style presentation, our next speaker is the managing director for Southeast Asia and Hong Kong at Aetna International. Since 2011, he has led their expansion in the region from two countries to six through a combination of organic and inorganic growth.

In 2010, he relocated to Singapore to establish Aetna’s office there as a regional hub for its expansion into Southeast Asia. Since then, Aetna has seen record growth in membership numbers in the region, and momentum continues to build.

He manages an extensive portfolio of clients and focuses on helping multinational corporations manage their benefit offerings from both a local and regional perspective. His career spans across numerous geographies, including Canada, India and ASEAN countries. In his previous role with Mercer, he was the retirement leader for Asia working with corporations and governments to manage their retirement benefit obligations.
